Patient safety is at the heart of what we do, and it is only because of the expertise and time our volunteers contribute that we are able to fulfill our mission. We hope, therefore, that you will consider responding to this Standards Committee Call for Volunteers.

The Standards Committee of AAAASF is responsible for analyzing data relevant to standards and survey performance, considering current scientific literature and prividing clinical expertise to promote the highest level of patient safety and to ensure that AAAASF remains the Gold Standard in accreditation. The Committee is seeking to expand its ranks by five (5) individuals to broaden the scope of practice expertise present and to reduce the workload for each individual member. The Standards Committee meets regularly using collaborative documents and can expect to perform 2-4 hours of work each week. Additionally, the Standards Committee meets via video call monthly. The Standards Committee Overview and Expectations outlines the full scope of the committee. Individuals that wish to lend their expertise to the Standards Committee but do not have the time to commit can apply to be Content Experts. These experts will be contacted as questions come up about their specialties.

We are looking for practitioners in Dental/Oral maxillofacial (OMS), Gastroenterology (GI), Infection Control, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Rehabilitation Agency/Outpatient Physical Therapy (RA/OPT), Rural Health Care (RHC), Urology, and Vascular, to apply for the Standards Committee. We are also looking for volunteers with an International perspective in any or all of the specialties listed. All applications will be reviewed by members of the committee to fill five (5) spots.

As a member of the Standards Committee, you will be making a difference in the lives of patients worldwide. Apply now.
