Per Medicare (CMS) mandate, AAAASF has created new standards which will apply to Medicare-deemed ASCs, OPTs, and RHCs as accredited by AAAASF. The new standards can be read here, and are broken down by program on the AAAASF website: CMS ASC, CMS OPT, and CMS RHC.
According to the January 20, 2022, Supreme Court Ruling, these standards will apply in all US states, all US territories, and Washington DC. Timelines for compliance have been updated to include all 50 States.
These documents have been approved by federal regulators and will go into effect for surveys occurring on March 7, 2022, and beyond.
